For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

16 oz (450 g) cream cheese, softened

4 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

π₯ Step 1: Prepare the Cake Layers

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.

In another bowl, whisk together oil, buttermilk, eggs, red food coloring, vinegar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry, stirring just until combined — do not overmix.

Divide the batter evenly into the prepared pans.

Drop spoonfuls of Nutella over the batter and gently swirl with a knife to create a marbled pattern.

Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let cakes cool in pans for 15 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely (about 1 hour).

Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well.

Stir in vanilla extract and beat until the frosting is fluffy and spreadable.
