Ingredients

Instructions
1. Prepare the Chocolate Sponge:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10x15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.

In a bowl, beat eggs and granulated sugar on high speed for 5 minutes, until thick and pale.

Gently fold in vanilla extract and sifted cocoa powder. Do not overmix.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.

Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cake springs back when touched lightly.
2. Roll the Cake:

While still warm, carefully invert the cake onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar.

Peel off the parchment paper.

Gently roll the cake up in the towel from the short end. Let it cool completely while rolled to set its shape.
3. Make the Whipped Cream:

In a chilled mixing bowl, whip together heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

Gently unroll the cooled sponge cake.

Spread whipped cream evenly, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges.
