Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter 🧈

  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided 🍫

  • 3 large eggs πŸ₯š

  • 1 cup granulated sugar 🍬

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 🌼

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 🌾

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 🧁

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt πŸ§‚

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or springform pan and set aside.

2️⃣ Melt Chocolate & Butter

In a heatproof bowl, melt together the butter and 2 cups of chocolate chips.
You can use a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring between each until smooth.
Set aside to cool slightly.

3️⃣ Beat Eggs and Sugar

In a stand mixer or using a hand mixer, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract on medium-high speed for about 3 minutes, until pale, thick, and fluffy.

4️⃣ Combine with Chocolate Mixture

Reduce the mixer speed and slowly add in the cooled chocolate mixture, blending just until combined.

5️⃣ Add Dry Ingredients

Gently fold in the flour, baking powder, and salt until no streaks remain.
Stir in the remaining 1 cup of chocolate chips for extra richness.

6️⃣ Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is puffed and the surface is crackled. A toothpick inserted should come out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).

7️⃣ Cool and Serve

Allow the pie to cool completely in the pan.
When ready to serve, warm slightly and drizzle with hot fudge sauce or top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an unforgettable dessert!

Serving Tip

This pie is best enjoyed warm. To reheat individual slices, microwave for about 15–20 seconds.
