  • 1,000 g powdered sugar

  • 60 ml heavy cream

πŸ‘©‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the Oven:

Preheat to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans or line with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Make the Cake Batter:

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.

  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each.

  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.

  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix just until combined.

3️⃣ Bake the Cakes:

  1. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.

  2. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  3. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

4️⃣ Prepare the Buttercream:

  1. Beat the softened butter until creamy.

  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating well.

  3. Add vanilla and heavy cream, beating until smooth and fluffy.

  4. Tint with pink gel food coloring until desired color is reached.

5️⃣ Assemble & Decorate:

  1. Level cake layers if needed. Place one layer on your serving board.

  2. Spread a layer of buttercream between the two cakes.

  3. Apply a crumb coat (thin layer of frosting) and chill for 20–30 minutes.

  4. Frost the cake with a thicker layer of pink buttercream.

  5. Use a piping bag with a petal or closed star tip (e.g., Wilton 1M or 2D) to pipe rosettes around the entire cake in spiraling motion.

  6. Optional: Decorate with fondant flowers, edible pearls, or shimmer dust for added elegance.

⏱️ Time Estimate:

  • Prep Time: 25 min

  • Bake Time: 30 min

  • Total Time: ~2 hours
