Ingredients

For the Cake Layers:

  • 2 ½ cups (300 g) all-purpose flour

  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup (230 g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar

  • 4 large eggs, room temperature

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk, room temperature

For the Buttercream:

  • 1 ½ cups (345 g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 4 cups (500 g) powdered sugar, sifted

  • 2–3 tbsp heavy cream or milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Food coloring (optional)

For Decoration:

  • Fondant in white, pink, or your chosen colors

  • Edible pearls

  • Edible glitter or luster dust

  • Food-safe gold paint

  • Small doll topper or food-safe mannequin torso

  • Piping gel


Instructions

1️⃣ Bake the Cake Layers

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Grease and line three 8-inch (20 cm) round cake pans.

  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar for 3–4 minutes until pale and fluffy.

  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

  6. Add the dry ingredients in three parts, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with the dry mix.

  7. Divide the batter evenly among the pans and smooth the tops.

  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  9. Cool cakes in their pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
