๐ Ingredients
For the Cake Layers

2 ½ cups (310g) all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda
-
½ tsp salt
-
1 tsp cinnamon
-
½ tsp nutmeg
-
1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
-
1 ½ cups (300g) brown sugar
-
4 large eggs
-
1 cup (240ml) Greek yogurt or sour cream
-
½ cup (120ml) honey
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Filling & Frosting
-
2 cups (480ml) heavy cream
-
8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
-
½ cup (120ml) honey
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
For Decoration
-
Honey (for drizzling)
-
Fresh blackberries, grapes, and other berries
-
Walnuts & pecans (lightly toasted)
-
Rolled oats or granola (optional, for crunch)
๐ฐ Instructions
Step 1: Make the Cake
-
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line three 8-inch cake pans.

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in honey and vanilla.

Add dry ingredients alternately with yogurt, mixing until just combined.

Divide batter evenly into pans and bake 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
Step 2: Prepare Frosting

Beat cream cheese until smooth.

Add honey and vanilla, mixing until creamy.
-
Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks and fold into cream cheese mixture. Chill until ready to use.
Step 3: Assemble

Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread frosting evenly.

Repeat with remaining layers.

Frost the outside lightly in a “naked cake” style, leaving the sides partly visible.
Step 4: Decorate

Drizzle honey generously over the top.

Garnish with fresh berries, walnuts, pecans, and oats.

Let the cake chill for 30 minutes before slicing so the honey sets slightly.
