Crispy Cheese & Salted Egg Triangles

Ingredients

  • 10 slices of sandwich bread (or ready-made triangle pastry sheets)

  • 3–4 salted egg yolks (steamed and mashed)

  • 100g shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 2 eggs (beaten, for coating)

  • 100g panko breadcrumbs

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp condensed milk

  • Chopped parsley or scallions (for garnish)

  • Cooking oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling

    • In a mixing bowl, combine mashed salted egg yolks with shredded mozzarella, melted butter, sugar, and condensed milk.

    • Mix until smooth and slightly sticky.

  2. Shape the Triangles

    • Trim off the crusts from the sandwich bread, then roll them flat with a rolling pin.

    • Place the filling in the center and fold into a triangle.

    • Press the edges with a fork to seal tightly, preventing leaks during frying.

  3. Coat the Triangles

    • Dip each triangle into the beaten eggs.

    • Roll in panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.

  4. Deep Fry

    • Heat oil over medium heat and fry until golden brown on both sides.

    • Remove and drain excess oil on paper towels.

  5. Serve

    • Sprinkle with chopped parsley or scallions.

    • Enjoy while hot for the perfect crispy texture with gooey, cheesy, salted egg filling inside.
