Rice water is packed with vitamins (B1, C, E) and minerals that can tackle a variety of skin issues, such as acne, dark spots, crow’s feet, scars, large pores, and dull skin. This natural toner can help brighten your complexion, improve skin texture, and promote a healthier appearance. The best part? It’s incredibly easy to make at home.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 cup rice (any variety)
  • 1 cup water
  • A pinch of turmeric powder, use wild turmeric to avoid stains
  • A pot or bowl
  • A storage bottle

How to Make Rice Water Toner

There are two simple ways to make rice water toner, depending on your preference:

Method 1 (Soaking Method):

  1. Rinse the rice thoroughly in a colander to remove any impurities.
  2. Place the rice in a bowl and let it soak in water for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Once the water turns cloudy and white, strain the rice and collect the rice water into a clean bottle.

Method 2 (Boiling Method):

  1. Boil 1/2 cup of rice in a pot with 1 cup of water until the water becomes thick and starchy.
  2. Once you have a creamy, white consistency, strain the rice and store the resulting water in a bottle.

In rice water add a pinch of turmeric powder, shake well and your toner is ready

How to Use Rice Water Toner

  • As a Toner: Apply the rice water toner to your face to brighten your skin and tighten large pores. You can use it both in the morning and at night to cleanse your skin before applying your moisturizer. I personally prefer this way only, but you can try this amazing water as face mist, cleanser or mask also.
  • As a Face Mist: Mix rice water with rose water for a refreshing and hydrating face mist. Carry it with you throughout the day for a quick pick-me-up.
  • In Face Masks: Add rice water to your favorite face mask for extra benefits. It will enhance the mask’s effectiveness and help nourish your skin.
  • As a Gentle Cleanser: Use rice water as a mild, natural cleanser to wash your face. It’s soothing and perfect for sensitive skin.
  • As a Face Ice Bath: Freeze rice water in an ice tray to create ice cubes. In the morning, place the rice ice cubes in a bowl and immerse your face in the chilled water to tighten and refresh your skin.

Rice water toner can last for up to 5 days when stored in the refrigerator. Be sure to use it within this time frame for maximum effectiveness.

By making and using this simple rice water toner, you can improve your skin’s appearance and tackle common skin concerns naturally. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions in the comments below!
