LOS ANGELES — Police have launched a death investigation after a decomposing body was discovered in a Tesla registered to rising music star D4vd, two days after the vehicle was towed and impounded in Hollywood.

The Discovery

According to law enforcement sources, officers responded Monday afternoon to a tow yard near Mansfield Avenue and Romaine Street after employees reported a strong odor coming from the electric vehicle. The Tesla had been impounded after it was found abandoned on Bluebird Avenue and Doheny Drive.

Inside the car’s front trunk, officers discovered a bag containing human remains in an advanced state of decomposition.

Victim Description

Authorities confirmed the body was that of a woman, though her identity has not yet been released. She was described as approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 71 pounds, with wavy black hair.

At the time she was found, the woman was wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal bracelet, and metal stud earrings. A distinctive tattoo reading “Shhh...” was also located on her right index finger.

Officials believe she had been dead for some time, though the exact cause and time of death remain unclear.

Investigation Underway

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting a full autopsy to determine the cause of death and to officially identify the victim. Detectives have indicated they will be interviewing the vehicle’s registered owner, singer D4vd, as well as others who may be connected to the car.

The 20-year-old musician, who first gained fame on TikTok, has quickly risen to prominence with hits like Here with Me and Romantic Homicide. He currently boasts more than 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify and released his debut album earlier this year.

D4vd is currently on tour and scheduled to perform in Los Angeles on September 20. His representatives have not yet issued a public comment regarding the investigation.

Another Case Raises Concerns

In a disturbing coincidence, another body was discovered Tuesday inside a different vehicle at a separate tow yard in South Los Angeles. Officials have not indicated whether the two cases are connected, but both are under active investigation.

What Comes Next

Police are urging anyone with information related to the abandoned Tesla or the victim to contact the LAPD homicide division. For now, investigators are piecing together how a luxury car registered to a well-known artist ended up abandoned with a body concealed in its trunk — a mystery that has shocked both the music world and the local community.
